Registration

CSCS24 is a physical event with the aim of bringing together the scientific community in person, and giving them the opportunity to share knowledge, communicate, bring new ideas, and learn new insights, ranging from research topics to diversity challenges in technology and innovation.

At least one author for each paper should register and participate, giving a technical presentation. The conference registration fee includes participation in all conference sessions (including workshops and doctoral symposiums), coffee breaks, and documentation (conference book-of-abstracts and electronic proceedings). However, it does not include accommodation or transportation. The conference dinner, extra pages, additional copies of documentation, and the social program are optional items.

Registration fee

  • Regular fee (authors, participants): 300 Euro
  • Student fee (authors, participants): 150 Euro
  • Second paper fee (for authors): 150 Euro
  • Extra page fee (for authors): 100 Euro/page (maximum 2 pages)
  • Doctoral Symposium fee (a Ph.D. student must be the first author): 100 Euro
  • Doctoral Symposium fee (for a Ph.D. student as a single author): free (for one paper).

Registration (for regular participants): April 30, 2023
On-desk registration is possible only for regular participants.

Conference Terms

By registering for the CSCS24 2023 conference you consent to the following terms.

Publication

Accepted and not registered and presented papers will not be published (the paper will be removed from the proceedings).

Conference fee

Please note that any additional expenses regarding bank charges are not included in the registration fee and must be covered by the registrants.

Image Publication

You grant permission to the CSCS24 Conference to use and publish your image or likeness (photographs, screenshots, and video recordings) collected in connection with the event for any usual and customary purpose of the ISPDC Conference, including promotion. You also agree with the publication of your first name, last name, and affiliation on the list of participants.

Code of Conduct / Code of Ethics

You agree to abide by the IEEE Code of Ethics and the IEEE Code of Conduct.

Content Responsibility

Program contributors agree that they are responsible for the content. They certify that they are entitled to use all documents, texts, and images presented. Where this is not the case, they certify that they use third-party materials in accordance with quotation rights and reference the sources with due diligence. Hence, they warrant that the documents that they present do not infringe on any third-party rights.

Data Protection

You confirm your consent to the processing of your data in accordance with the data protection declaration of the University of Basel.

Cancellation

Please note that registration fees cannot be refunded.

Venue

The CSCS24 conference is scheduled to be held in Bucharest, Romania’s largest city and the capital. Known for its wide, tree-lined boulevards, glorious Belle Epoque buildings, and a reputation for the high life (which in the 1900s earned its nickname of “Little Paris”), Bucharest is today a bustling metropolis.

Location

The site of CSCS24 is the Faculty of Automatic Control and Computers, University Politehnica of Bucharest, 313 Spl. Independentei, Bucharest, Romania.

Access to the Conference Site

The Conferences site can be accessed by the following means of transportation:

  • By underground – The Conference site is a 5 minutes walk from POLITEHNICA underground station (Line M3)
  • By bus – Nos. 136, 236, 336 (UPB Stop)
  • By trolley bus – Nos. 61, 62 (UPB Stop)
  • By car – There are free and ample parking facilities in the immediate vicinity of the Conferences site. The entrance to the UPB Campus is not free. The paid tax is 10 lei (around 2 Euros).

Conference Proceedings and Language

The conference proceedings, containing all accepted papers, will be available on CDs and distributed to all registered participants. All presented papers during the conference will be evaluated for future publications in a special book. The working language of CSCS24 is English and will be used for presentations and discussions.

Refreshments and Lunches

Refreshments will be available at the Conference site daily during the coffee breaks. Self-lunches will be available for all registered participants on the Conference site.

Climate

The weather in Bucharest is warm in May. Temperatures between 15oC to 25oC are to be expected.

Insurance

The organizers cannot be held liable for accidents to participants or for damage to or loss of their personal property, howsoever caused. Participants are advised to make their own insurance arrangements.

Internet Acces

Internet access will be free of charge for all participants. The wireless connection will be available in the conference rooms and in the conference’s main hall. The information about internet access will be available at the registration desk.
